My neighbor decided to start raising his own chickens and built a backyard chicken farm of sort in the Bronx. Apparently, it is legal to raise chickens in New York City as long as they’re all hens. No roosters allowed. Chickens are actually considered pets under the Health Code. Who knew?!
I think they’re cool but I probably wont try this at home. The only farming I ever did was in Facebook. Check this website and see if urban chicken farming is allowed in your city.
